Hello class of 1969, I had fun and learned as few things while there (actually one reason why I attended everyday was because of my girlfriend
Brigitte Rucker who later became my wife).
Some of you may remember the antiwar deminstration put on by the
Teachers, there was a prowar deminstration orginized by a handful
of studients and one US Marine who
shall remaine unnamed.
Well we all marched around the school
building until we were face to face then both sides did an about face and went back the way we came.
fyi: I was the one of the first (if not the first) persons who started walking in protest of the teachers and in support of our troops in Vietnam.
It was a very peaceful march on both
sides. Looking back now it was fun
partisapating no matter which SIDE you were on.......
That Marine was seriously wounded in
Vietnam (in service to this country) and came home a "hero", but he was a hero before he inlisted.
If anyone remembers that march or has any photos or comments or would like to just say hello, send me an e-mail
